What if you alone could reveal a horrible secret about how they gain their power? What if that power was something man could grab for himself?

The Growing Darkness
Shen spends his days alone, hiding from the world, wracked with shame and guilt. Hiding his identity as the Harbinger, he chooses to spend his days homeless in the dangerous RhineWoods. When he stumbles onto a pair of twins being attacked in his chosen place of exile, he does what any assassin running from his past would do, he rescues them from danger, and moves on. When a chance encounter with an old friend reveals the twins are lost Royals from a distant land, hunted by an evil Warlord with whom Shen has a personal history, he resolves to relocate the twins and thwart whatever plans the Warlord has in store.
Evading spies, fighting off wild creatures, and pursued every step of the way by a murderous sociopath, Shen finds himself entangled in global currents threatening the status of peace in the world, all while being confronted with a past he long thought he’d left behind. Haunted by his inner demons, and struggling to find the will to live, Shen comes face to face with the past and must deal with the awful truths about himself, his past, and the nature of deity, while fighting to keep the twins safe.
Can he get the twins safely home? Can he find the truth? If he finds the truth, can he live with the consequences? Or will the world crash down on him, sending him into a hopeless spiral where his depression, anxiety, and decades fueled anger, threaten to push him to a final solution that will help no one?
Darkness Blooms
Having learned some hard truths, the band of adventurers, led by Shen, seek answers to the origin of the world as they know it. Will those answers bring a new world order where people are free to decide their own fates? Or will successfully completing their mission simply throw the world into chaos?
Or will Shen’s next mistake be his last?

Twenty years have passed since that fateful day in Killinshire. The Fearsome Four have either passed or grown old. Signs of decay and chaos are everywhere in the world. And the decendents of the Fearsome Four have taken the mantel to resolve the world’s ills and finish the work their predecessors started.
